ECM Administrator - Captiva and Documentum Systems Administrator

About the job

This is a pure CAPTIVA ADMINISTRATOR ROLE. Client is NOT looking for a developer. Looking for both Captiva and Documentum experience.

This role is a 100% REMOTE contract to hire position.

Must be located in EST/CST and able to work on EST

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional and integration testing; assist end users with user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Deploy document capture processes into production environments.
• Conduct regular maintenance on Captiva environments, including installations, upgrades, and patch management.
• Manage security, logging, auditing, and usage requirements within the Captiva platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; perform root cause analysis related to Captiva and supporting systems.
• Provide support for associated ECM applications, including Documentum, CTS, CSSAPP/ASSAP, and ProArchiver.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience).

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with OpenText Captiva.
• 3+ years of experience with Documentum.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in team settings and independently with proactive follow-through.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
• Enthusiastic about learning and contributing within a collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Installation, configuration, and administration of OpenText Captiva Capture on Windows servers.
• Familiarity with web server environments (IIS, Apache, Tomcat).
• Experience with application load balancing and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL and ODBC configurations.
• Experience with Documentum upgrades and migrations.
• Familiarity with JIRA for issue tracking and project collaboration.
• Configuration experience with Captiva modules such as ScanPlus, Multi-Directory Watch, Image Enhancement, IndexPlus, Classification, Nuance OCR, Advanced Export, and more.
• Coordinating complex deployments with operations and infrastructure teams.
• Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Working knowledge of log analysis tools like Splunk.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions.
• Experience working closely with business users to gather requirements and define acceptance criteria.
